Pakistan have asked the International Cricket Council to investigate alleged comments by South African umpire Rudi Koertzen describing the Pakistan team as “cheats” during the World Cup in March.

“We are concerned that an elite panel umpire could say such a thing. We hope the ICC will look into it,” Ashraf said.

Lahore: Regardless of how Inzamam-ul Haq fares in his final Test match, Pakistan Cricket Board is all set to give a rousing farewell to the former captain, with one of the stands at the Gaddafi Stadium to be named after him.

A grand function will be organised in Inzamam’s honour at the end of the ongoing Test and he is also expected to be rewarded substantially in financial terms by the PCB.
