
There was more good news for Shoaib Akhtar as PCB chairman Nasim Ashraf reportedly decided to drop the Rs 220 million defamation suit. Reports suggested that Ashraf decided to drop the case after the maverick pacer apologised 8220;repeatedly8221; for his outburst against him.
PCB lawyer Tafazzul Rizvi said the Board decided to drop the suit against Shoaib after the paceman apologised to Ashraf during a recent meeting.
The lawsuit was filed after Shoaib alleged in an interview that the PCB chief had demanded money from the player to allow them to participate in the IPL. The case was to come up for hearing on May 16.
