A 21-year-old man from Sultanpur Lodhi in Punjab’s Kapurthala district died after suffering a heart attack in Armenia on Monday, his mother said citing information received from his acquaintances in the Eurasian country.

The deceased has been identified as Kamal Kumar, son of the late Balwinder Singh and Karamjit Kaur. He had gone abroad nearly two years ago in search of better employment opportunities and was working at a hotel in Armenia at the time of his death, according to his family.

According to information received by the family, he suffered a heart attack late at night and died suddenly.

Speaking to the media, Karamjit Kaur said on Tuesday that her husband had died long ago. “I am a poor woman and work as a daily-wage labourer.
