After a long gap, Parnita Garewal of Chandigarh will vie with other professionals in the contention for the top spot in the sixth leg of the DLF Women8217;s Profesional Golf Tour that was moved to the challenging Windy Classic Golf Resort in the Aravali Ranges on Wednesday.

Nalini Singh, the current number one on the order of merit, will try to maintain her lead over seasoned player Simi Mehra, who after a minor surgery, is joining the tour at this leg again.

Vandaba Agarwal from Kolkata and Shalini malik from Delhi will also play in the tournament.

Hockey tourney from Dec 16
The 57th All India Police Hockey meet will be held at Hockey Stadium, Sector 42 from December 16. The event will see the participation of police teams from all over the country.

DAV College drub SCD College
DAV College, Chandigarh scored an emphatic 10-points win over SCD Government College, Ludhiana in a league match of the Panjab University Inter-College Kho-kho Tournament for men being played at Panjab University grounds on Tuesday. Ina nother match of the day, SGGS College, Chandigarh scored a narrow four point win over SCD Government College, Ludhiana while DAV College, Sector 10 defeated Government College, Muktsar by one innings and 14 points.

In the last match of the day, SGGS College defeated Government College, Muktsar by one innings and 22 points.
