KOZHIKODE, FEBRUARY 8: A local magician C B Sarkar had to flee the stage and organisers pleaded for mercy when the viewers detected the magic trick of a much-published item in the Calicut festival here Monday night.

The organisers had given maximum publicity to a specific item called ‘milk can escape’ drawing a huge crowd.

After the magician got into the milk can, the city mayor and assistant police commissioner locked the can infront of the crowd who came to the venue after purchasing tickets.

The can was then lifted with a crane and placed in an inferno and the magician was to escape without opening the can.

However, the pandora’s box of the magician was opened when the viewers detected that there was another secret door other than the locked one leading to commotion. Before the crowd gave vent to their ire, the magician managed to flee the spot.

The organisers pleaded to the viewers to maintain calm and later filed a complaint with the police against the magician.
