Pakistan have finalised a strong 14-man squad for the two-match ODI series against India in Abu Dhabi after rejecting a request from some of the players for rest after a gruelling schedule this season. The team will be officially announced tomorrow but it was confirmed that at least two players, whose identity was not disclosed, had requested for a break, complaining of a back-breaking season in which Pakistan has already played eight Tests and 13 one-day internationals since late October.
The squad likely: Inzamam-ul-Haq captain, Younis Khan vice-captain, Salman Butt, Imran Farhat, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Yousuf, Kamran Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Mohammad Asif, Rao Iftikhar Anjum, Danish Kaneria and Abdul Rehman.
