CHANDIGARH, Aug 13: As many as 340 students from different schools of the City took part in the on-the-spot painting competition organised today by the Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee CTCC at the Government College of Education, Sector 20-B.

The contest was held as part of the golden jubilee celebrations.

Children in the age groups of 5-10 and 10-15 years participated in two different categories.

The theme of the contest was freedom movement.

Pawan Kumar Bansal, president, Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee, was the chief guest.

O P Verma, president of the Chandigarh District Congress Committee Urban and Sandeep Singh, joint secretary of the committee, presided over the function.
