Packing material ready: HPMC

SHIMLA, May 17: The HPMC has made arrangements for the supply of packing material to the fruit growers of the state-Managing Director of HPMC Avay Shukla informed that the corporation had started the booking of cartons at its grading and packing houses and sub offices located in the fruit growing areas of the state.

He called upon the fruit growers to place their requirement of cartons with the HPMC offices located at Rohru, Jubbal, Gumma, Chopal, Tatapani, Jarol-Tikkar, Oddi, Dalash, Gopalpur, Sarahan, Reking Peo, Chindi, Chailchowk, Bhuntar, Patlikuhl, Chamba and regional office Shimla.

The growers would be required to deposit a booking amount of Rs. 2 per carton with the above offices. The advance booking would assist the HPMC to assess the requirements of farmers and make the supplies well before the fruit season.
