Chandigarh, March 17: Home Guards District Commandant S.S. Randhawa today discharged one more Home Guard jawan from his duties here today. Uday Kumar posted in sector 34 police station was discharged today for allegedly having indulged in looting of fruits from an abandoned rehri on Friday here. Two jawans were discharged yesterday.

Car driver killed
Panchkula: In a truck-car collision yesterday evening, the driver of the Maruti car died on the spot when a speeding truck hit the car bearing registration number HP-12-6058. The driver, Ashish, was accompanied by another occupant who was injured seriously. A case has been registered at the Pinjore police station under Section 279, 304-A IPC and investigations are on.
