One death gives four new lives

Divyang Shah died on March 11. But the 38-year-old lives on in the vision of two strangers who happened to receive corneal transplants from Divyang’s eyes. His two kidneys have been donated to two others — Kishore Vadodria and Ramesh Modia.

The Ahmedabad-based company secretary went into a state of coma after he fell off from the bed while he was asleep. He was declared brain dead by the doctors at SAL Hospital on March 11. Following this, his family decided to donate his organs to those in need of a transplant.
