Olympics, Tibet not to affect China GDP: IMF

“It didn’t in the construction phase, outside of Beijing, where obviously in the city it did have a major impact. So we would not expect to be even able to see an effect on the overall level of China’s GDP, just given the size of the economy at this point.

“Turmoil, as well, Tibet is not a major producing region, and in terms of the GDP of that region, is not that high that it would have a tremendous impact on the overall growth in China,” he added.
