Old whine, taunts BJP

The BJP on Wednesday termed the Congress vision document as a ‘‘repeat of the rhetorics of the past’’. Spokesperson Arun Jaitley said,‘‘They were so desperate that their vision document has lost sight of what India wants.’’ He said the Congress has raised the garibi hatao slogan again after 34 years. Thereby, the party was conceding that it has been unsuccessful in removing poverty as it had ruled the country for the majority of the years since the slogan was raised, he said, adding that ‘‘the governance of the world’s largest democracy is not a family business’.
