Nothing extraordinary about this album. With music by Rajesh Roshan and lyrics by Indeewar and Dev Kohli, Kudrat dishes out the usual masala mix.
And it has an assortment of singers from Udit Narayan, Abhijeet and Kumar Sanu, to Sadhana Sargam, Alka Yagnik and Kavita Krishnamurti. But what the album sadly lacks is good lyrics. Ab tak hai puri azadi8216; sung by Abhijeet and Poornima, sounds like a child8217;s first attempt at writing poetry.
Concentrating only on ending the lines with rhyming words, no attention has been paid to their meaning. Same is the case with Ishq bhala kya hai8216; by Vinod Rathod and Alka Yagnik. Even keeping with the trend of adding Punjabi words 8212; Gal hai kacchi-pakki8216; 8212; fails to make an impression.
Kudrat also has its share of soft, romantic numbers with Aaj hoke rahe apna milan8216; by Udit Narayan and Priti Uttam, and Tujhe dene ko8216; by Abhijeet and Kavita Krishnamurti. And just in case all this doesn8217;t work, an unimpressive ShwetaShetty number 8212; Main hoon albeli8216; 8212; has been thrown in for good measure. Except for Aaj hoke rahe8216;, the album is not worth listening to.
