Nurses, other staff takeout procession

AMBALA, June 18: The members of the striking nursing staff joined by the Sarvkarmchari Sangh workers took out processions through the main bazars of the Ambala city and Naraingarh in support of the demands of the nurses, whose indefinite strike entered the 19th day in the state. Later, the demonstrators held a rally in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner and handed over a memorandum to her.

Robbed
A visitor staying in the Kamboj Dharamshala, Ambala city was robbed by another visitor staying in the adjacent room. According to information, a visitor staying in room number 18 was offered a soft drink by the visitor occupying room number 17. After consuming the drink, the victim became unconscious. The latter entered the room by breaking the window panes and fled with Rs 17,000, a golden chain and a wrist watch. The police have registered a case.
