CHANDIGARH, Sept 2: A toothbrush, accidentally swallowed by a 22-year-old girl, was removed from her stomach with the help of endoscopy, thereby doing away with the need of surgery.

The procedure, using video endoscope and other accessories was performed by Dr Neeraj Nagpal and took about 30 minutes. The patient was put under local anaesthesia and mild sedation.
