No progress in Shinor rape case

Recently, the accused procured three copies of FIRs registered against the victim and handed it over to his counsels for submitting them in the court in order to strengthen his case for obtaining a bail.

A Dabhoi court had declared the PSI as an 8220;absconder8221; which could enable attachment of his property. But though Chaudhary has been eluding the police and also not produced himself before the court, the police are yet to initiate any action regarding attaching his property.

District Superintendent of Police Shamsher Singh said though the police were on a lookout for the accused, they still didn8217;t have no clue about his whereabouts. 8220;We have already put the PSI and other accused under suspension for their gross misconduct,8221; he added.

When asked about attaching the accused8217;s property, Singh said that the matter was pending in the district court and any step in that direction could be taken only after the district court8217;s decision on the pending appeal of the accused.

Meanwhile, the victim Manjulaben Vasava is still undergoing treatment in the SSG hospital and her condition is said to be improving. She would be discharged only after her condition had improved fully, a senior police official said.

The inquiry into the charges against the victim that she had kidnapped a man for selling his organs made no headway after a panel of doctors from SSG Hospital ruled out that his organs were removed. The doctors8217; ruling in the case had put the accused in a vulnerable position vis-a-vis Manjula8217;s charges against him.
