Mumbai, Dec 29: Indian Navy were well placed against New India Assurance on the second day of the three-day Times Shield B Division cricket tournament at National Ground, Cross Maidan on Wednesday.

New Indi, after being asked to follow on were 36 for 3 in their second innings. Indian Navy, who were 313 for six, went on to score 436 with CKV Raghavan’s hurricane 164 (23×4, 3×6).

Centuries by Prashant Shetty (162: 12×4) and Nilesh Bhosle (batting 120: 9×4) helped Union Bank rake up 500 for six, in reply to Bank of Maharashtra’s 177.
