NEW YORK, JANUARY 15: The Nasdaq of the US surged more than 3 per cent in early trading on Friday as strong quarterly numbers from a technology leader coupled with softer-than-expected inflation data gave Wall Street a jolt.The Nasdaq composite index jumped 118 points, or 3 per cent, to 4,076 amid a broad stock rally. The Dow Jones industrial average gained 131 points, or 1.13 percent, to 11,712 while the Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 20 points.
