CHANDIGARH, Oct 29: Munish Srivastava beat Deepak Goel 55-10, 32-64, 67-33, 45-70, 56-31, 49-9 to win title in open snooker event in the Asia open snooker and pool tournament which concluded here yesterday at Asia Billiards in Sector 34.

The winner and runner-up became richer by Rs 7000 and Rs 4000, respectively. The two semifinalists Sunny Bhalla and Honey Bhalla were also given Rs 2000 each.

Munish also pocketed Rs 1000 for scoring highest break of 45 points in the meet. Munish is also the winner of title in the pool category. More than 100 players took part in the meet held in three groups. Trekking expeditionTHE Chandigarh Adventure Association is organising trekking expedition on October 30. According to Kulbir Singh, president, CAA, the trekkers would traverse a distance of 14 km from Dharampur to Subathu (Himachal Pradesh). More than 40 boys and girls are expected to participate in the event.
