With this, Mumbai have 12 points and are placed at the top of the West Zone group followed by Gujarat at eight.

Gujarat edged out Baroda in their match in a thrilling encounter by one wicket. With Baroda posting 176 runs, Gujarat clinched victory with just one ball to spare, courtesy tailender Siddharth Trivedi8217;s boundary off Rakesh Patel. With six runs needed in the last over, Patel came up with a brilliant performance 8212; claiming three wickets in it 8212; to put pressure on the tailenders.

Though Irfan Pathan took two wickets, his four overs cost him 38 runs. Earlier, Rishikesh Parab and Rakesh Solanki8217;s 72-run second wicket partnership helped Baroda reach 175.

In the other match, chasing a target of 183, Saurashtra had a good opening stand of 51 between Chirag Pathak and Sagar Jogyani, followed by a 49 by skipper Jaydev Shah. However, with wickets falling at regular intervals, they were restricted to 161 for 8 in their 20 overs.

Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat, Mumbai lost opener Ajinkya Rahane 3 and last-match centurion Rohit Sharma 13 early. Musaveer Khote 72 off 47 balls and Vinit Indulkar 69 off 31 balls propped up the batting.
