Pensioners8217; plea hearing

MUMBAI: The Bombay HC will hear on July 21 a PIL filed by state pensioners against the Government8217;s decision to implement the Fifth Pay Commission for old pensioners with effect from July 1, 1999. The Brihanmumbai Pensioners Association says the State should abide by the date of January 1, 1996 for the implementation.

Rly block

Central Railway will operate a mega block on Up fast line between Vikhroli and Byculla stations from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm on June 20 to carry out maintenance work on track, over-head equipment, signal gear and other equipment. All Up fast line services will be diverted on Up slow line and will halt at all stations between Vikhroli andByculla.

Pilot training course

The Skyline Aviation Club has organised professional pilot licence training courses of the Government of India and USA for students who appeared for SSC and HSC examinations this year as well as senior college students. The part-time courses of 8-month duration to begin from July 3 will be held on Saturdays and Sundays. A special course to join the Indian Air Force will also be organised on a part-time basis.
