Smuggler held by CID
The Detection Crime Branch, CID, unit IX arrested a notorious smuggler on Thursday who was wanted in several cases of smugglings. Police sources said, the accused, Musa Fakruddin Mohammad was arrested from Grant Road8217;s Indo-gulf lodge at 12 noon. The police on a tip-off laid a trap for him and apprehended him. Earlier, he was arrested on two accounts of smuggling. Some 125 gold biscuits worth Rs 60 lakh and electronic goods worth Rs 1.60 lakh were recovered from him. But both the times he was released on bail.
