Grant for University sub-centre
The Mumbai University sub-centre at Ratnagiri received a shot in the arm with the state government recently providing an additional fund of Rs 15 lakh for the improvement of the courses run there. Vice-Chancellor Dr Snehalata Deshmukh said, “This grant will certainly benefit our three postgraduate diploma courses in Computer Education, Food Processing and Environmental Pollution”. The grant will help equip the Thiba Palace, which houses the sub-centre, with a better laboratory and also enhance the visiting faculty.
Seminar on computers
The Polytechnic Computer Centre, VJTI announces a one-day lecture-cum-demo seminar on current trends in use of computers, multimedia, electronic books on CD, use of intranet and internet on March 1 at the auditorium, VJTI from 9 am to 5 pm. Kennel club games today
The Indian National Kennel Club will be holding Fun `N’ Games for Dogs and Dog owners at Oval Maidan, Churchgate on February 28 at 5.30 pm. The session, led by Shirin Dhabhar, will help dog owners to grasp the basics of dog behaviour.
