Free workshop for students

The Giants Group of Chowpatty will hold a free workshop on May 2 at Birla Krida Kendra, Chowpatty between 3 and 6 pm for IX, SSC and HSC and ICSE examination students preparing for board examinations next March. Speakers will address students on subjects like stress management, career counselling and vocational guidance. Blood donation drive held

As a homage to Baba Gurubachan Singh Maharaj, the Sant Nirankari Mandal had organised a blood donation drive at six centres on April 25. Fifteen hospitals participated in the drive: Red Cross Society, Lokmanya Tilak, Tata, St George, KEM, JJ, Cooper, Cama, Bhabha, Nair, Bhagvati, ESIS, Shivaji, Kalva, Civil Hospital, Thane and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation hospital.

The total number of units collected on one single day was 1,790; the centrewise break-up being Chembur 8211; 443; Dadar 8211; 240, Goregaon 8211; 468; Borivli 8211; 380; Thane 8211; 130 and Vashi 8211; 129.
