
Jewellery shop looted
The police have arrested two of a five-member gang after they looted a jewellery shop of valuables worth over Rs 34 lakh.
Posing as customers, the gang members entered the shop located on Sheikh Memon street at around 1. 30 pm on Tuesday. Wielding revolvers and knives, they snatched gold and jewellery besides Rs 8,000 in cash. However, the staff raised an alarm leading to the arrest of two of the gang members by passers-by. A hunt is on for the rest of the gang.
Campaign to plant neem
As part of its campaign to plant a maximum number of neem trees, the Neem Foundation will make available neem saplings at its premises in Juhu. A demonstration on novel methods of growing and using neem in homes will also be held on the occasion.

Home computer show at WTC
The first-ever home computer show will begin at the World Trade Centre from June 5-7. The 3-day show will be inaugurated by former VJ and TV star Ruby Bhatia.There are a number of creative games for kids and contests in Digital Photography, Digital Art and Virtual Imagery. There is also a free CD every three minutes for visitors.
Rly concession certificates
Concession certificates have been revised by the Indian Railways for the orthopedically handicapped, blind, deaf, dumb and mentally retarded persons.
Those holding old certificates can, however, continue to avail of them up to December 31, 1998. They are requested to collect the revised certificates from the respective divisional offices at Central Railway or at the Chief Commercial Manager8217;s office, 2nd floor, New Administrative building, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Mumbai. With effect from January 1, 1999, tickets will be issued only against revised certificates.
