Nirmitee, a handicrafts shoppe has organised an exhibition of 1,000 Ganesha idols in various forms and materials like wood, metal, an amalgamation of metals, glass, ceramic, terracotta and bamboo at 4/5 Khosravi Estate, S K Bole Road, DadarWest till September 21. Rings, penstands, plates, lamps, lampshades and key chains bearing Ganpati motifs and paintings, frames, stained glass, hanging plates and murals of Ganesha will also be available. Call on 4229139.

Small scale industries award

All permanently registered small scale industry units which have been in production for the last four years can apply for the Government of India8217;s National Award for Quality Products in the small sector by October 1.

Hindi elocution contest

The 18th Ghanshyamdas Saraf Silver Chariot inter-collegiate Hindi elocution competition, will be held on September 14 at 11 am. The topic is 8220;The Indian Army must be equipped with nuclear weapons.8221;
