Educational experts from within and outside the IITs, IIMs and Central universities made presentations before the committee today. On Tuesday, agriculture and medical fields will be discussed.

Moily said once these consultations are over, the Oversight Committee will get on with the finalising of its report. He, however, said today, 8220;it may not be possible to give the final report by the timeline8221;.

The committee had already submitted an interim report, based on which the draft of the Quota Bill provided for staggering the implementation by upto three years.

Moily had earlier ruled out any 8220;bulldozing8221; of the proposal for 27 per cent reservation in elite and Central educational institutions and asserted that protecting the excellence of educational institutions would be the 8220;main theme8221;.
