Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha celebrated the 35th memorial day of Swami Lilasaha Maharaj with the special children of Apang Kalyankari Sanstha in Wanowrie. There was a painting competition held on this occasion and the children later were provided with food.

Shamrock fair
The Shamrock fair organised yearly by the priest and parishioners of St. Patrick8217;s Cathedral, has again come with entertainment for all. From special children8217;s corner, exciting games, rides to homemade delicacies, plants for the nature lovers, all this and more with music to set one8217;s feet tapping. The idea is to help to foster community in this huge parish as people of different areas come together to prepare the food and snacks sold at the fair and the proceeds of the fair go towards the educational and medical expenses of those less fortunate of the parish.

Festive delight
Deepotsava festival was celebrated with religious zeal at the Mahalaxmi Temple near Saras Baugh on the auspicious day of Tripuri Purnima. The sparkles of 51,000 diyas enlightened the entire temple while thousands of devotees came in to offer their petition to the goddess. The temple was decorated with peacock feathers and colourful Rajasthani Rangolis and celebrations also marked importance for the temple as it celebrated its silver jubilee year along with the 10th year of Deepotsava.

Light to learn
On occasion of Children8217;s Day, Rotract Club of Pune Central distributed personality development kits in an Alandi-based blind girls school. The kit included CDs for learning conversation in English, school bags, shoes etc. The kit was provided to 150 girls of the school.

In the run of work and competition, unhappiness and depression often grips due to financial uncertainty and professional stress; offering a discourse on 8211; How to Enjoy Today and Tomorrow 8211; the Sadhu Vaswani Mission has organised a speech by Rev. Dada Vaswani today at 6:00 pm at their campus premises. In commemoration of the 129th birthday celebrations of Rev. Sadhu T L Vaswani, the mission will also be observing the International Meatless Day on November 25.
