
Pardesi Felicitated
Advocate Pratap Pardesi and his colleges renovated the Lakshmibai Dutta Mandir, on Lakshmi road, which is one of the oldest temples of Pune. In a Recent function organised by the trustees of the temple, advocate Pratap Pardesi was felicitated at the hands of Tatyasaheb Godse, President, Sarvajanic Ganesh Trust on been elected as President of Smt. Lakshmibai Dutta Mandir Trust. The state information commissioner Vijay Kuwadekar was also present as the chief guest of the function.
Dhamma Chakra Pravartan
Dalit Panther of India celebrated Dhamma Chakra Pravartan Din recently. Founder president of Dalit Panther of India, Bapusaheb Bhosale presented Rajratna Buddha Vihar on Tadiwala road with an idol of lord Gautam Buddha. On the same occasion set of books on Gautam Buddha and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar were handed over to Nagsen library in Camp. Students are requested to make use of this library.
Divine art
The Shree Muthappan Charitable Foundation is organising Theyyam, an art form performed generally in north Kerala at Kalewadi in Pimpri on November 9. The dance form will see the dancer dressed in traditional attire. According to the organisers, the dance performers will perform on Lord Muthappan, an incarnation of Lord Shiva in a tribal form. Muthappan is the presiding deity of Parassini Madappura and Kunnathurpadi in Kannur district in Kerala. The dance performance will take off at 9 am onwards at the Jyotiba Mangal Karyalay.
Sweet Takes
Every year the Mahalakshmi temple near Sarasbaug celebrates Annakot when Goddess Mahalakshmi is offered 56 different sweets. This year 500 children from the Santulan Pashan school, which caters to children of stone mine workers, were invited for the celebration on November 3. The trustees of the temple also provided these children with school stationary of daily use.
Abhishek ceremony
Shree Akhil Bharatiya Tirth Prabhavak Adhar Abhishek Anusthan Samitee is organising 18 Abhishek Ceremony in three parts for more than 100-year-old Jain temples. In Maharashtra, this ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 23. The ceremony shall be performed on about one-lakh idols of 10,000 Jain temples in three parts, throughout India. According to the principles of Jainism, the 18 Abhishek Ceremony removes impurity and brings serenity, tranquility and piousness. The complete expenses for the ceremony will be borne by an anonymous donor. Around 10,000 Jain youths are being trained to perform this pooja ceremony. It will be preformed as per the specific timings provided in the Jain religion for this purpose.
Skandshashti festival celebrated
Skandshashti festival was celebrated at the Shanmukhnanda Sabha, which is 54 years old.
All religious rituals like pooja, abhishek and chanting of Subramania Sahasranama was performed at the Karthikswami temple at Parvati hill. The event concluded with Deeparadhana to Lord Karthikswami. Priest VS Natraj Sastrigal performed the religious rituals at the temple. The temple trustees coordinated the program.
Kojagiri celebration held
On account of Kojagiri Poornima, Bhorde Ali took out a huge procession. Founder president of Dalit Panther of India, Bapusaheb Bhosale inaugurated the procession and preformed an aarti. The procession was accompanied by traditional music band.
