Skana Shasthi Puja
Shree Shanmukhananda Sabha, a 50-year-old institution will celebrate skanda shashti on Monday, November 3 at Kartikswami Temple at the Parvati hills. There will be 11 types of Abhishekam, Poojas, chanting of Subramanya, Murga, Kartikswami Sahasranama Archanai containing 1008 lines in praise of Subramanya simultaneously offering flowers to Lord Kartikswami and deeparadhana. 8220;The programme is scheduled from 7.30 am to 12 noon,8221; informs R Venkataramanan, president of the Sabha. R Raman, V Srinivasan, R K Laxminarayan and V C Ramachandran will co-ordinate the programme. The Shree Hara Bhajana Samajam Ganapati temple Rastapeth will also celebrate Skana Shasthi with eleven Abhishekam, Pooja, Chanting of Sahasranama Archanai containing 1008 lines in praise of Lord Subramanya and deepaadhana to Lord Ganesha, Lord Karthikswami and other deities in the temple. Annakot Festival celebrations
Shree Maheshwari Balaji Mandir, Kasbapeth has arranged Annakot Festival on Wednesday, November 5 at temple premises from 8am to 1pm. The religious programmes include Sukhtapatan, Venkatesh Suprabath Abhishek, Pooja Tulsi and Kyumkum Archana and aarti to Lord Balaji. Chappan Bhog will be displayed on the occasion. S. Satyyanarayana Vyas, Chief Priest with the help of others will conduct all religious programmes. Rajesh Bhuttad who is the yajaman sponsors the event. Assaram Chandak, chief Trustee and other trustees viz. Suresh Navandar, Kailas Mundana and Ramvilas Jaju will co-ordinate the entire event.

Free Medical Camp
The Punjabi Cultural Association is conducting a free medical check up camp today from 10 am to 12 pm S M Acharya, chairman SIA will examine and demonstrate and examine using nature cure techniques for backaches known as the Acharya Techniques for ATB SNR. Dental and eye check ups will be also held. Homeopathy and Ayurvedic doctors are available for treatment and free medicines will be issued.
