ROHTAK, Feb 24: MDU Vice-Chancellor O.P. Kaushik reversed the transfer order of 12 assistant registrars, deputy registrar and 18 superintendents passed by the acting Vice-Chancellor L.N. Dahiya, after the Punjab and Haryana High Court stayed the operation of the orders of the Chancellor and Governor Mahabir Prasad, divesting Kaushik of the charge of the University and asking Dahiya, pro-VC, to discharge the functions of the Vice-chancellor.
Earlier, the Chancellor of MDU, Mahabir Prasad, had divested the Vice-Chancellor of all functional powers.
It may be recalled that the VC Kaushik and Registrar Ashok Khemkahad had locked horns over administrative issues.
