Maulana Masood Azhar
Age – 41
Founder – Jaish-e-Mohammad
Known for his venom spewing speeches that generate funds for their ’cause’ of spreading terror and chaos, Maulana Masood Azhar was one of the terrorists that the then Indian Foreign Minister Jaswant Singh ‘escorted’ to Kandahar to swap for the hostages of the hijacked flight IC-814 in December 1999.
Before being the beneficiary of the India’s soft stance on terror, Maulan Masood was the second in command of the Harkat-ul-Mujahideen and was involved in masterminding many strikes in the J&K during the early 90s.
After his release he founded the JeM and has since then spread terror and violence in J&K and is also suspected to be the mastermind behind the audacious December 13 attack on the Parliament.
Masood is known to be deeply involved in some sort of recruitment drive in the Kashmir valley, making ‘Fidayeens’ or ‘human bombs’ out of young boys through his venomous propaganda speeches. A deadly terrorist, Masood is on top of India’s ‘Most Wanted’ list.
