Matri Suraksha Fortnight

CHANDIGARH, July 23: The U.T. Health Department has decided to observe Matri Suraksha Fortnight from July 27 to July 8 as a part closing ceremony of 50 years of India8217;s independence.During the campaign, the maternal and child health services will be intensified. Hundred per cent registration of pregnant and lactating mothers will also be ensured during the fortnight. A camp will be held areawise for the medical examination of ante-natal mother and lactating mother by the doctor. The ideal pregnant and lactating mother will be selected in all the 49 centres.
