Match-making website for Jains

PUNE, Feb 10: As many as 2,100 girls and boys will participate in the Var-Vadhu Sammelam that is being organised by the Jain Sahyog on the Jain Action 99 State-level match-making meet to be held at Hotel Central Park on February 14.

With a website set up, all relevant information regarding the brides and groom, biodata being accessed on the net from across the country and abroad and interviews being conducted in-camera shown live on 16 mm screens with the prospective spouse8217;s biodata flashing on an identical screen simultaneously, it will be a selecting session dominated by technology.

8220;Of the entries received 1,100 are from girls of whom 122 are doctors and 1,000 from boys of whom 65 are doctors and 283 engineers,8221; said Milind Phade, president, Jain Sahyog, addressing a press conference this afternoon. Participating bride and groom hunters will be given cards to fill up while marriage hopefuls will be interviewed in-camera. Information about interested families will then be sent to the residences.
