PATIALA, NOV 17: Punjab were comfortably placed at 193 for 4 in their first innings against Jammu and Kashmir on the opening day fo the Vijay Merchant Trophy under-16 at the Dhruve Pandove Stadium here today. The imposing total was possible due to fine knocks by Manik Kohli (52) and Vishwas Bhalla (51 not out).

Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Jammu and Kashmir were bundled out for 78 runs in 42.2 overs.
