CHANDIGARH, FEB 28: Former Haryana Governor Dhanik Lal Mandal said that people in Bihar were feeling insecure as 8220;a caste war has broken out in the state8221;.

Addressing a Holi Milan function organised by the Purvanchal Welfare Association here today, Mandal called upon people to work for removal of casteism in the society.

Extending his greetings on Holi, the former governor asked people to forget their differences and celebrate the festival.

Bhojpuri songs and cultural programmes presented by children on the occasion enthralled the audience.

Later, Mandal released a souvenir of the association and assured full cooperation to its activities.

City Mayor Kewal Krishan Adiwal and MP Satya Pal Jain spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of Holi.
