Chennai: Malaysia will host the men8217;s World Cup hockey in 2002 with Australia getting the nod to hold the women8217;s edition.

According to a FIH press release issued on Thursday, the men8217;s edition will be a 16-team event for the first time ever, scheduled in the month of February/ March.
