JUNE 24: A Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd BPCL tanker carrying a 10 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas LPG overturned on the Mankhurd flyover on the Eastern Express Highway at 4 pm today. Instantly, gas began to leak from the tanker MH 04 F 1003 though luckily there was no explosion. Fire tenders and senior BPCL officials rushed to the spot and averted a potential major disaster.

Fire brigade sources said the tanker was positioned awkwardly on the flyover and cranes had to be used to get it back on its wheels.
