Long, rusted knives recovered from well

COIMBATORE, May 25: The City Police stumbled upon four rusted long knives dumped in a well in Nallamma Raja Veedhi off N H Road in sensitive Big bazaar police limits. Following a pointed intelligence about dumping of arms and weapons in wells in NH Road area, on instructions from Commissioner of Police K Radhakrishnan, a team led by DCP P Kannappan conducted checks. The premises reportedly belonged to the members of the banned Al-Umma outfit.
