Lok Shakti protest against rising prices

CHANDIGARH, Nov 23: The local unit of Lok Shakti took out a procession here today in protest against the rising prices. Besides, the party was also protesting against the 8220;deteriorating law and order and corruption8221;.

Members of the party sought dissolution of the Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh, statehood for the City, extension of lal dora of UT villages and licenses to footpath workers.

They gathered near a Sector 19 temple in the morning and passed through Sector 18 and 17 before they reached the UT deputy commissioner8217;s office to hand over a memorandum to him.
