On women’s safety

“Delhi is probably the most unsafe city for women. What is shocking is that our chief minister, who is a woman, suggests women need not work till late at night. Instead of trying to improve the security situation in the city and make it safer for women, she wants them to stay home when it’s late in the evening.”

On roads

“In the past ten years the condition of city roads has gone from bad to worse. Every monsoon we face the problems of potholes and traffic jams. The government may take credit for the flyovers and roads but the ground reality is different.”

On Slums

“The government has simply ignored those who live under flyovers and slums along the roadside.”

On Cleanliness

“The government wants to make Delhi a world class city. But it’s annoying to see garbage lying on the roadside. In ten years we could not develop a scientific plan to dispose garbage?”
