Hear it from the new bloke on TV, Gaurav Gera, himself

At a bungalow in Mudh Island where Gera is shooting for the one and only project he is working on, we found him busy rehearsing his lines, while waiting for his turn. And with him we waited, counting the ad campaigns he has worked on. There’s Nestle Munch and Bajaj, to begin with. "The Bajaj ad was a great experience. It involved a lot of stunts for six days. I also got a cut on my chin during the shoot, he says showing a scar on his chin," he says. A few days after he shot for it, Gera got a shock of his life when he found he wasn’t there in the film at all. That was his first assignment in Mumbai. “My part in the ad was edited. I was obviously disappointed, though I got my money for it. My mom consoled me, saying may be there is something better lined up for me.”

He also features as a nerd in a yet-to-be-aired Samsung commercial. But "acting is different". And he is enjoying every moment of it. Even before he got the small screen break, he was associated with the Kshity theatre group in Delhi. He has also worked in the musical Man of La Mancha in Mumbai, apart from doing a few radio shows. His future plans include singing, though he isn’t trained to sing. "Occassionally I sing to myself because I don’t want others to suffer," he says jokingly. Variety indeed is the spice of his life, which seems to be laddoo for Laddoo. Well, we wish it only gets better!
