NEW DELHI, November 6: In the Baroda Cup (12 goal) polo tournament at Jaipur polo ground here today, LG-1 beat Army (Red) 3 1/2-3 while Jindal Steel and Power defeated South Delhi 10-2 1/2 to move into the semifinals. RVC beat Munirka 7-1 and OTA defeated Cavaliers 4-3 1/2 in the semifinals for a title clash in the Cariappa Cup at the Army Equestrian centre ground. The final will be played at 11 am on Saturday.The RVC-Munirka match was totally a one-sided affair. Ajay Ahlawat, Sandeep Kashyap and Shailendra Singh scored two goals each while Akhil Sirohi got one for RVC. Dhruvpal Godara was the lone scorer for Munirka.In the other semis, OTA and Cavaliers scored two goals each in the first chukker while OTA added two more in the next to go ahead. Raghavraj Singh, Samarth Shergill, Shailendra Singh and Manoj Dewan scored for OTA while sandeep Dewan (2) and Ajit Singh scored for Cavaliers who started the match with 1/2 goal on handicap.
