One of my most memorable incidents took place when I was in standard three. I had my Mathematics paper that day. I had carried my new Geometry box to school. In the third standard I had just learnt to construct an angle and to draw a circle with the help of the geometrical instruments. Thus I was over excited.
For the examination, I did very well and was expecting excellent marks. I came home and told my mother about the paper which was too good. About half an hour after coming back from school, I realised that I had left my geometry box in school itself along with my writing pad. I broke into tears as I knew that I would get a scolding. My mother took me back to school which was luckily just across the road and then got my geometry box back from the class. Luckily the classrooms were not locked.
After the red signal appeared my mother quickly picked up the few things that escaped the damage. Later, on reaching home she explained to me that that this careless step of mine of leaving my geometry box in school could have landed me in a lot of trouble. From that day onwards I have been very careful with my possessions. I don8217;t want to repeat this kind of an incident again.
