THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MAY 27: The Left parties will consider joining hands with the party launched by expelled Congress leaders Sharad Pawar, P Sangma and Tariq Anwar provided it put up 8220;uncompromising resistance to Hindu communal fascism8221; and adopted economic policies different from those of the Congress, veteran Communist Party of India Marxist leader E K Nayanar has said.

In his weekly column in the party organ Desabhimani, Nayanar ridiculed the some political analyses that said the crisis in the Congress had been defused with Sonia Gandhi withdrawing her resignation as party president.

The sole special feature8217; of the recent AICC session was that it saw the curtains come down on Gandhi8217;s resignation drama8217;, Nayanar said.

The resignation drama ended like child8217;s play. The AICC session was degraded into 8220;a venue for the last act of the resignation play8221;, Nayanar said.
