Nikki Duggal detests the usual black laptop bags. Then she got creative with her loathing and came up with Woccow, a brand-new range of laptop bags that are to hit stores just in time for Diwali.Duggal, a 31-year-old Delhi-based designer who runs Nikki Duggal Design as well as Mixed Juice Design studio, does all her work on her laptop and so the bag is more than an accessory for her, it is an extension of her style statement. “The black bags that you get with most laptops are boring, so I thought I would make my own laptop bag,” says Duggal, who began working on it four months ago. Inspiring the covers is not anything remotely related to the computer; instead it is the sacred cow. And the word “cow” appears twice, once in reverse, in the brand name Woccow, creating a whacky, retro effect. “I want to celebrate the image,” says Duggal, who has the signature cow on the base of the bags which are available in a variety of colours, from raven-black with neon-pink stripes to beige and white. Made of felt, nylon and faux leather, the bags are lightweight and equipped with thin, sturdy straps that allow you to loop your arm through them or carry them like a briefcase. But be prepared to dig deep into your pockets for one of these. Priced between Rs 5,000 and Rs 6,500, the bags come with one-year guarantee. If you can’t wait for these to hit the stores, drop by at her studio and bag them. For details contact, 40545035
