Kolkata kids get a shot at Man U event

Junior players will have a field day in the city from tomorrow when a new chapter starts with the Manchester United Premier Cup for U-15 players kicking off.

Junior players will have a field day in the city from tomorrow when a new chapter starts with the Manchester United Premier Cup MUPC for U-15 players kicking off.

The opener will see the young guns of East Bengal locking horns with Tollygunge Agragami colts.

MUPC, the annual international Nike tournament conducted in association with Manchester United, will see eight teams 8211; East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting, Tollygunge Agragami, Ever-Ready Association, Vasco Sports Club, JCT and Mahindra United 8211; take part in the inaugural edition in India. The March 22-26 extravaganza will be played in a league format, with eight teams divided into two groups.
