PUNE, Nov 29: Shikshan Prashak Mandali, in association with the Poona District Amateur Athletic Association PDAAA, will organise the junior athletic meet at Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi from December 1 to 3.

The meet is significant as it is a selection platform for the State junior championship to be held at Kolhapur from December 27-28.

The meet, featuring events in 10 age groups Under-14, 12, 10, 8 and 6 boys and girls, has attracted 1200 participants. Prominent among these are Adinath Kumbhar and Snehlata Sawant, silver medalist in Western division junior championship, Udaipur.

The selection committee comprises of Rajiv Kulkarni, Vasant Gokhale, Snehal Khere and Vijay Bengle. Vijay Bhave, Ram Date, Rajiv Kulkarni, Raghav Ashtekar and Prof. Shet have been appointed for the organising committee.
