Jigrr visits MMCC

The Marathwada Mitramandal College of Commerce in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association and Sarathi had organised an environment-friendly event.

The Marathwada Mitramandal College of Commerce MMCC in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association IMA and Sarathi had organised an environment-friendly event.

The objective of the programme was to explain to the students the importance of environmental protection and conservation and to spread a green eco-friendly environmental message.

The highlight of the programme was the welcoming of Jigrr, the mascot for the Commonwealth Youth Games CYG.

Avinash Bhondve, president of IMA, Vishwas Yewale-founder of jal-dindi and Sharad Yeravdekar spoke on the importance of water management and conservation, apart from measures to curb noise and air pollution.

MMCC students and teachers took an oath to curb and control water, air and noise pollution, led by their principal M D Lawrence, heads of departments, Tehsin Poonawala.
