A team of senior officials led by Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi is camping in Mumbai to woo industry captains and attract investment to the state.

A two-day roadshow beginning tomorrow will showcase the state8217;s potential in infrastructure such as power, road and minerals. The team includes state Industry Minister P.N. Singh, Energy Minister Lalchand Mahato, Road Minister Sudesh Mahato and Chief Secretary G.Krishnan. Representatives of Tata Power, Tata Consultancy Services, the Birla group of industries and Reliance are going to participate.

8216;8216;We are very happy that the state has taken the right course to advertise itself in the commercial capital of the country,8217;8217; said Sudhir Kumar, member of Chotanagpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The state had announced its industrial policy on Aug. 31 last year. The policy entailed strategies to provide 8216;8216;adequate infrastructural support at reasonable cost, amend rules to encourage private sector8217;s participation and single window system8217;8217;.
